PYRONE COMPOUND AND ITS USAGE

PURPOSE: To provide a new compound having harmful arthropod-controlling effect and a controlling agent against a harmful arthropod containing the compound as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: It has been found that a pyrone compound expressed by general formula (1) (wherein, R is a trifluoromethyl group, H or methyl) has excellent controlling effect against pests. A harmful arthropod can be controlled by applying a harmful arthropod controlling agent containing the pyrone compound as an active ingredient.
