<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously achieve line thinning and smoothing without deteriorating image quality. <P>SOLUTION: In this image processor 10, a template matching part 3 performs matching of an object image with a template and determines a pixel under consideration and its partner pixel. Then, a smoothing coefficient calculating part 6 calculates a variation dSMT in a pixel value that changes in the pixel under consideration and the partner pixel by performing smoothing processing, and a line thinning coefficient calculating part 8 calculates a variation dST in the pixel value that changes in the pixel under consideration and the partner pixel by performing line thinning. The pixel value calculating part 9 calculates pixel values C<SB>m</SB>and P<SB>m</SB>of the pixel under consideration and the partner pixel on the basis of the variation dSMT and the variation dST after performing smoothing processing or line thinning processing to the object image and determines the value of the pixel under consideration C<SB>out</SB>after the smoothing processing or the line thinning processing on the basis of a summed-up value of the pixel values C<SB>m</SB>and P<SB>m</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
