PURPOSE: A method for operating indoor unit of air conditioner is provided to prevent an unauthorized person from freely changing setting of the indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: a first step(S10) determining whether power is initialized; a second step(S20) releasing locking of a key input part of an indoor unit when the power is being initialized; a third step(S50,S80) determining fixed key values are continuously inputted for fixed time while the locking is released; a fourth step(S90) setting the key input part of the indoor unit to be locked and returning to the first step if the fixed key values are continuously inputted for the fixed time in the third step; a fifth step(S40,S60) determining the fixed key values are continuously inputted for the fixed time while the key input part is locked; and a sixth step(S70) releasing locking of the key input part and returning to the first step if the fixed key vale are continuously inputted for the fixed time. |
