PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can have a lamp wire fixed to the flank or back of a mold frame. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal display panel which displays images, a back light assembly which supplies light to the liquid crystal display panel, and the mold frame (400) which stores the back light assembly and liquid crystal display panel. The back light assembly includes a light source part which emits light and a lamp wire (314) which supplies a current to the light source part. A fixation part is formed on the flank or back of the mold frame in the form of a groove (432) or a depressed part and the lamp wire is fixed in the fixation part so that it can easily be separated and connected. In one example, a couple of ribs for fixation are positioned on the base surface of the depressed part for fixation opposite each other. The lamp wire is fixed in the space between the ribs for fixation which has width less than the diameter.
