PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control device for a vehicle capable of promptly and adequately changing driving force according to the output required at the start of a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a driver's basic demand torque TFF changes suddenly in response to operating amount θac of an accelerator pedal 78 at reverse starting the engine demand torque Te which is determined on the basis of the TFF and the target engine speed Net set in advance is changed. Therefore, the engine 14 is controlled to rotate at a constant speed so as to obtain the engine demand torque Te and to make the engine rotational speed Ne the target engine speed Net . Since a part of an engine output is not consumed for an engine rotational speed change, most of engine output which is changed according to a change in engine demand torque Te , is used for driving force. Therefore, the driver's demand torque can be satisfied accurately and promptly. |
