PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic substance removing method capable of highly efficiently discharging and removing an organic substance bonded to and infiltrated into a porous member in a short time by a simple process. SOLUTION: A fluid penetration process for holding the porous member W having the organic substance in a bonded and infiltrated state in a supercritical or subcritical fluid for a definite time in a washing container 5 and a pressure reducing process for discharging a fluid from the washing container 5 to rapidly lower the internal pressure of the washing container 5 to a pressure not more than supercritical or subcritical pressure are respectively performed at least once.
