PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel bactericide having an intense bactericidal activity by using a naturally occurring material and capable of replacing and alternating conventional synthetic materials such as paraben and the like. SOLUTION: This novel bactericide contains (1S,4aR,4bS,7S,10aR)-7- ethenyl-1,2,3,4,4a,4b,5,6,7,9,10,10a-dodecahydro-1,4a,7-trimethyl-1- phenanthrenecarboxylic acid of further, end-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid as active ingredients. PA and PK are easily extracted from Araliacordata.
