DRYING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device capable of drying highly efficiently without causing unevenness of drying. SOLUTION: The drying device dries a coating film in a drying furnace K while a web-like substrate W coated with a coating liquid is being conveyed. Hot air is fed as laminar flow in a blowing direction parallel with the substrate W. The wind velocity of the hot air is controlled at a relative speed of 0.1-5 km/s with respect to the feed speed of the substrate. The coating film is efficiently dried without causing unevenness of drying in coating face. Preferably, the surface temperature of a guide roller R can be controlled, and an air supply face 14 for lowering the solvent concentration in the furnace is provided in the upper or side face of the furnace K.
