DETECTOR FOR ANGLE OF ROTATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle-of-rotation detector capable of detecting the absolute steering quantity of a multiple rotation handle in spite of a simple structure. SOLUTION: The angle-of-rotation detector is equipped with an absolute steering sensor capable of detecting absolute steering value within 360 deg., a key presence/absence detecting part, a mechanism part for setting the handle to a locked state and an unlocked state by the presence or rotation of a key, a memory means for preliminarily storing the angle of the multiple rotation handle and absolute steering value data of one rotation at the OFF-time of the detection part (at the key absent), a calculation means for calculating the angle of the multi-rotation handle from the data stored at the ON-time of the detected part (at the key present) and the absolute steering quantity of one rotation after unlocking and a processing means for adding and subtracting the angle of the multiple rotation handle calculated, when the handle is rotated.
