PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear guide mechanism capable of isotropically sustaining the load without being affected by a fitting attitude, absorbing any dimensional error, and performing smooth guide. SOLUTION: The load capacity in four directions, i.e., the right-and-left direction and the vertical direction is substantially constant without being affected by the fitting attitude by setting the angleθformed by the axes of horizontal rollers 24a and 24b axially attached to a slider 14 and the axes of inclined rollers 28a and 28b to about 60 deg., and setting the load sustaining capacity of the horizontal rollers 24a and 24b to about one half of that of the inclined rollers 28a and 28b.
