PURPOSE: A method for detecting optimum power control of an optical disk is provided to obtain the optimum power control value in advance by using a resting time of the optical disk, thereby stably performing a write operation without problems of delaying the write operation and losing some data. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting optimum power control of an optical disk includes the steps of confirming whether an operating command is input within a predetermined time after completing loading of the optical disk(S10), performing an OPC(Optimum Power Control) operation by each recording speed until the operating command is input if the operating command is not input within the predetermined time to detect the optimum power control value of each recording speed(S11), storing the detected optimum power control value at a memory with connecting detected optimum power control value with the corresponding speed(S12). |
