FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of specimen to be analyzed for analysis in form of pellets fed to DC arc discharge zone, exposure of samples at anode and then at cathode polarities and recording of spectra. Preparation of sample and standard specimen for analysis includes mixing them with buffer agent; ultra-pure copper, nickel or cobalt are used as buffer agent for synthetic standard specimen and oxide of respective metal is used for sample being analyzed at ratio of sample and standard specimen equal to 1:1.
