PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clay pipe for an underdrain allowing easy construction and requiring no spacer for maintaining a clearance in a joint part. SOLUTION: In this clay pipe for the underdrain, multiple water permeable holes are arranged in a water conveying pipe part. A plurality of water conveying grooves are arranged on the outer circumferential face of the water conveying pipe part in parallel to the pipe axial center, and the water permeable holes are arranged in the water conveying grooves. The clay pipe is constructed of the cylindrical water conveying pipe part and a connecting receiving port part continuously arranged in one end of the water conveying pipe part for allowing insertion of the end part of the water conveying pipe part to be connected.
