The tensioning device has oppositely handed externally threaded spindles axially movable in a tubular body with oppositely handed internal threads. The tensioning spindles (6,7) are formed hollow, and rotational locking is provided by a rod-form longitudinal anchor (14) captively held in the cavities (10,11) of the spindles and torsionally fixed in relation to the spindles. The anchor has a cross section deviating from a round shape and with sides which lie against the opposite facing inner walls of a bush (12,13) fastened in the cavity end of each spindle furthest from the connecting heads (8,9) of the tensioning device.
