<p>Dust discharge valve for a cyclone type dust separator having at one end of a cylindrical dust separator housing a side entering dust laden gas inlet, a central outlet at the same end, for pulsating cleaned gas, and an approximately cylindrical division of the internal housing space into an inlet and an outlet chamber, and where a side dust discharge outlet is arranged at the other, lower, end of the separator housing, on which is mounted a dust discharging valve with an opening closeable by an elastic rubber cover. The dust discharge is formed as pipe nozzle (7) connected to the separator housing and inclined at an angle of 15-60 deg. to the vertical, and whose open end possesses an approximately vertical closure face (8) against which lies the rubber cover (9) and to which it is securely fastened at its upper end. USE/ADVANTAGE - Continuous dust discharge from gas cleaning equipment e.g. air filters on i.c. engines, compressors, etc. exposed to severely dusty conditions (e.g. construction and mining sites. Flap valve allows quasi continuous solids discharge from a unit operating under oscillating pressure conditions.</p> |
