<p>Providing a method of improving the solar protection properties of a cosmetic composition. A method of improving the solar protection properties of a cosmetic composition containing one or more photoprotective agents, by introducing an aromatic ester liquid at ambient temperature and obtained by esterification by an aromatic acid of one or more pendant or terminal hydroxyl groups of a hydroxylated aliphatic compound which is a hydroxylated aliphatic acid or an ester of it. Independent claims are included for (1) the composition above, comprising a particulate phase; (2) the composition comprising particulate inorganic filters; (3) the use of the aromatic ester in a cosmetic composition for the UV radiation protection of the skin and/or the lips and/or the phanera or for the fabrication of a such a composition; and (4) a cosmetic protection method for the skin and/or lips and/or phanera of human beings against solar radiation.</p> |
