SYSTEM FOR MEDIATING PRINTING ON NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize practical printing between a client and a printer connected with a network. SOLUTION: An intermediary system to mediate printing is constituted by providing a server connected with the network. The client transmits printing data and an identification number to specify a printer at an output destination to the intermediary system. The intermediary system converts the printing data into a PDF and outputs it to a printer corresponding to the identification number. The printing is executed by converting the PDF into control data intrinsic to the printer on the printer side. The identification number is displayed on the printer itself and periodically changed. Disadvantages to be received by an owner of the printer by a false printing request is suppressed since the user is required to request the printing when he/she is in the vicinity of the printer.
