SHAPE EXCELLENT IN SURFACE PROPERTY, STEEL FOR THE SHAPE, AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture shapes excellent in surface property by efficiently removing primary scale from the surface of steel and preventing the generation of a surface defect due to the scale. SOLUTION: In the steel for shapes which is used for rolling by turning 90 deg. after heating, in this steel for shapes excellent in the surface property, descaling is applied to the surfaces which are rolled surfaces when the steel is rolled and the surfaces of the steel are cleaned. The steel heated to a required temperature is turned 90 deg., by jetting pressure fluid onto the surfaces of the steel which are the rolling surfaces before rolling and/or during rolling, the scale generated during heating the steel is removed. It is preferable to perform the jetting of the pressure fluid from the distance within 200 mm from the surfaces of the steel and at the collision pressure of >=5 MPa.
