The mower, consisting of a tractor-towed frame (1) with a cutter (2), an optional conditioner (10) and a swathing mechanism with lengthwise (19) and transverse (20) conveyors, has the transverse conveyor mounted on a support (14) that can be moved towards or away from the lengthwise conveyor depending on whether a double or single swathe is to be made from the cut crop. The transverse conveyor is connected to the support by a series of rear pivots with aligned horizontal axes, and its position is adjusted by a hydraulic power cylinder. It is also fitted with hinged deflectors. |
