PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for fixing an exhibition pedestal base-isolated by a base isolation device capable of automatically functioning as a fixing device after an earthquake ceases even if fixing pins are cut by the earthquake. SOLUTION: A guide member 2 is erected on a floor 12 to which the base isolation device for protecting the exhibition pedestal 11 is attached, and a fixing pin 4 with plural double-cone-shaped parts is slidably inserted into the guide member 2. The double-cone-shaped part has a large diameter part 41 and a small diameter part 42 which is a cut part, and the part between the large diameter part and the small diameter part is formed in the shape of a cone. In addition, a coil spring 5 for pushing and a pin slipping out speed adjusting means 6 are mounted between the lower face of a piston 3 abutting to the lower end of the fixing pin 4 and the lower end of the guide member 2. When the double-cone-shaped part at the upper end of the fixing pin 4 engaged with an engaging member 7 in the exhibition pedestal 11 is cut and slipped off by an earthquake, the remaining part of the fixing pin 4 automatically rises at a low speed, and the top of the remaining part of the fixing pin 4 automatically engages with the engaging recess 7 after the earthquake calms down.
