PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head and an ink jet recorder wherein a necessary width of a common passage is reduced and an arrangement density of ejectors is increased in a matrix head wherein the ejectors are arranged in a two dimensional manner. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording head is so constituted that a nozzle plate 1, a common passage plate 2, a supply passage plate 3, a communication passage plate 4, a pressurizing chamber plate 5 and a diaphragm 6 are laminated to be bonded. A resin film having a low rigidity is used for the supply passage plate 3. As the supply passage plate 3 functions as an air-dumper of a common passage branch 8, it is possible to attain an acoustic capacity sufficient to prevent interference in pressure waves (crosstalk) among ejectors even when the width of the common passage branch 8 is small, thereby improving the arrangement density of the ejectors. As a special plate for forming an air- dumper is not necessary, the number of laminated plates is reduced so that the manufacturing cost of the head can be reduced.
