PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out machining of a knurled pattern at the edge face of a flat bar in one flat bar manufacturing line for forming a standard straight flat bar from a steel strip. SOLUTION: This method and device for manufacturing the flat bar with the knurled edge from the steel strip 50, is provided with a knurling process for knurling the edge face of the steel strip after a process of forming rectangular cross section in one flat bar manufacturing line.
