The holder (1) for a roof gutter has a hook-shaped support (3), which matches the cross section contour of the gutter. Its free end is shaped into a clamp (19), and the other end transits into a mounting strap (4) which has openings (11) for fasteners and a clamping spring (13) for the gutter. The holder and mounting strap are shaped by two U-shaped channels, open to the gutter, enclosing a U-shaped center channel, which is wider than the side channels, and they both have defining side legs of the same height. The outer legs (7) are in two layers. The outer clamp is formed by the bent end of the bar (10) of the center channel, into a droplet shape.
