<p>The present invention relates to a method of carrying out hydrogenation of a substrate in the presence of a supercritical fluid such that more than one phase is present in the reaction medium. The reaction is performed under continuous conditions. The process leads to improved yields of the desired hydrogenated product. The process also enables the selective formation of a particular product where the formation of more than one product is possible.</p> |
