METHOD FOR CHECKING IF DNA IS AMPLIFIED AFTER PCR

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for checking if DNA is amplified after PCR(polymerase chain reaction) by observing the change of color by adding ferrous 1,10-phenanthroline to a PCR solution and for ascertaining the concentration of the amplified DNA. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: performing the PCR; adding 1 microliter of the ferrous 1,10-phenanthroline to the PCR solution; ascertaining the change of color of the PCR solution by leaving the PCR solution alone at a temperature of 10-90deg.C for 30 seconds to 10 minutes and observing, wherein the change of color is ascertained by the naked eye or using absorptivity.
