<p>A system and process for monitoring at least one but preferably a plurality of service outlets (12) of the type commonly existing in the food service industry, comprising utilization of a portable processor assembly (16) at a local site, which incorporates both manual and automatic input facilities, at least one of which is defined by a temperature acquisition module (30) interfaced for direct communication with the processor assembly. A monitoring program is operable by the processor and comprises a task application defining a plurality of user interactive test items requiring the entry of user responses upon their performance of the test items. The test items are determinative of currently existing conditions of a plurality of operational categories which are established based on the required functions of the one or more sites being monitored.</p> |
