<p>The material of low apparent specific wt. is produced by firing a clay contg. 1.0 - 2.0% of an organic suspension (1) capable of burning throughout the firing period. Pref. the solids: liquids ratio of (1) is 1:1 - 1:5, suitable components being lignite and natural oil, combustible schists and pyrolysis resin, and coal and kerosene. 1 - 3% pyrites or other Fe minerals may be included.</p> |
