PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray apparatus which predicts the life of an X-ray tube, can control the life and can be used under flexible exposure conditions according to use conditions. SOLUTION: For the X-ray apparatus comprising an X-ray tube, a power source for the X-ray tube, which supplies electric power to the X-ray tube to conduct exposure to X-rays, and a control part for controlling the operation of the power source for the X-ray tube, the control part is equipped with life predicting means for predicting the life of the X-ray tube from the cumulative exposure dose of the X-ray tube and load input controlling means for controlling load input to the X-ray tube according to the life of the X-ray tube.
