<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming mold which is capable of securing releasability of glass from the mold and carrying out good molding and also has durability when a complicated shaped surface with the optical function of an molded article is molded, and also to provide a method used for the same. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a mold for forming optical element having at least a carbon film on the surface, a high voltage of 10 to 60 kV is applied to the forming mold in plasma including carbon atoms, with 5μto 50μsecond pulses and repetition frequency of 500-40 kHz, and thus a low- cost mold for forming optical element is produced, which mold is free from the deterioration of the film or the deterioration of the surface roughness of molded glass.</p> |
