PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current display device enabling a user to determine simply the optimum contract ampere. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a current detection part 21 for detecting continuously the current flowing in a lighting wire 20, a maximum current value holding part 25 for holding the maximum current value from among the current values detected continuously by the current detection part 21, and a display part 33 for displaying the content held by the maximum current value holding part 25 comparably with the ampere number with which a lighting contract is made.
