PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection system which is easy to design in compliance with the specifications demanded. SOLUTION: Defining the diameter of a control piston 22 is dP, the guide diameter of a needle valve 20 is dNG, the seat diameter of the needle valve 20 is dNS, the lowest absolute necessary injection pressure of an injector 1 is PIL, the valve opening pressure of the needle valve 20 is P0 , the diameter of an inflow restrictor is d1 , and the diameter of an outflow restrictor is d2 , the value d2/d1 is given by: d2 /d1 > dP<2> ×PIL/((dNG<2> -dNS<2> )×(PIL-P0 ))-1}<1/4> , so that fuel can be injected from the injector 1. An injector capable of injecting fuel, even if the specifications of the injector and the lowest necessary injection pressure, based on engine performance are changed can thus be easily designed. |
