PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for image processing allowing accurately specifying image elements of the deepest color and the lightest color from local information, when specifying a color. SOLUTION: In this image processing method for image processing on an image on the basis of the color specified from the image, a color distribution chart on a color space of pixels is generated from the image and an optional point on the chart is specified, and thereby pixel information including position information indicating at least the pixel value and position of the point is provided.
