PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector for dust such as magnesium dust which is high in dust collection efficiency and compact in constitution. SOLUTION: A work place S in which a magnesium product, etc. are polished is covered with a hood 2. In the hood 2, an air ejection mechanism 10 is installed on the upstream side of the work place S so that air can be sprayed toward the downstream side. A suction fan 11 is installed on the downstream side, and a duct 4 is connected to the downstream side of the hood 2. A watering means 5 is installed in the duct 4 so that dust is mixed with water to be caught. A separation means 6 for separating the dust from the water is installed on the downstream side of the duct 4, and a tank 7 for recovering the water is installed below the separation means 6.
