PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white balance adjustment device that records an image in a color tone preferred by a photographer depending on a photographing condition with a simple operation so as to able to absorb individual variations of photographing purposes and stored colors. SOLUTION: The white balance adjustment device having an automatic white balance function that measures a color temperature of a light source lighting an object on the basis of picked-up color image data so as to automatically detect a white balance adjustment value at which the color of the light source is made achromatic, uses a resulting value applying weight mean processing according to an optionally set weight parameter to both a white balance adjustment value at which a color of a light source at a preset specific color temperature is made achromatic and a white balance adjustment value detected by the automatic white balance function for a white balance adjustment value at image recording.
