PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming device, preventing the clogging of a nozzle and excellent in transferring property even when an ordinary paper is used as an image receiving body. SOLUTION: The image forming method, employing an image transfer material provided with a transfer recording layer on a substrate and an image receiving body, comprises a latent image forming process and a transfer process. In the latent image forming process, a latent image is formed like an image by discharging the drops of a latent image forming solution consisting of a solution or a dispersed liquid containing at least one of a homopolymer, a random copolymer, a graft copolymer and a block copolymer having a principal constituent monomer of alkylene having the carbon number of 2-4 and/or alkylene oxide having the carbon number of 2-4. In the transfer process, the transfer recording layer surface of the image transfer material is contacted closely with the image receiving surface of the image receiving body and is heated whereby a transfer recording layer coping with the latent image is transferred onto the image receiving body. The image forming device can be employed for the image forming method. |
