PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scum removing device which can realize simplification of construction while attaining simplification of a structure as a simple bearing system. SOLUTION: A communication pipe which forms cylindrical shape with both of the ends opened is fixed to each of the opposing side walls in treating tanks, such as a settling basin, an aeration tank treating the sewage by forming the shape which can be passed through. Between communication pipes, the cylindrical skimmer pipe having attraction port which swallows the scum is provided so as to make the same axis as the communication pipe so that it can be freely rotated forward and backward in a peripheral direction by a driving means. A fixed cylinder and a rotating cylinder are provided at the end axial center position where the above communication pipe and the skimmer pipe correspond to, with the relation that forms the same axis with each other, and the fixed cylinder is respectively fixed to the communication pipe and to the rotating cylinder. These fixed and rotating cylinder are relatively rotatably connected by a connecting shaft, and a position between the communication pipe and skimmer pipe is sealed in the watertight state by a sealing means to allow the skimmer pipe to rotate. |
