<p>A discharge chamber (50) for a lamp (10), the discharge chamber (50) comprising a monolithic ceramic article having a main body defining an arc chamber and generally opposed leg members (62, 64) defining openings which may accommodate an electrode (52, 54) or electrode lead through (56, 58).
