An intermediate polyacrylic acid, deriv, layer, pref. an acrylic acid homopolymer or copolymer with acrylate(s) and opt. nitrile rubber is applied as binder between a fabric, e.g. smooth cotton, nylon, polyester, regenerated cellulose, cellulose acetate, silk or wool substrates and a poly-gamma-methyl-glutamate layer, pref. consisting of L-, D- or DL-isomer. Coated fabrics have leathery appearance, are useful for clothing and inner decoration, have good adhesion without affecting poly-gamma-methyl-glutamate. |
