The invention relates to a pilot operated 2/2 way seat valve, especially cartridge-like. A known valve of this type comprises a valve housing, and a main valve piston which is axially moveable in a receiving bore hole of the valve housing. A flow section between a first valve connection which opens axially into said receiving bore hole and a second valve connection which opens radially into said receiving bore hole can be controlled by said main valve piston in such a way that it opens and closes, and can be pressurised in the opening direction in the first valve connection. The main valve piston can be pressurised in the closing direction in a rear control chamber. Said control chamber is axially defined in relation to the main valve piston by a transversal wall of the housing, and can be connected to one of the valve connections in a choked manner by means of a first flow path leading through the main valve piston. A pilot valve can be switched between an open position, in which a second flow path leading from the control chamber to the other valve connection is opened, a section of said flow path passing through the main valve piston, and a closing position, in which the second flow path is closed. In the known 2/2 way seat valve, the second flow path also leads through the sleeve-shaped housing section comprising the receiving bore hole, requiring a costly drilling process and subjecting the formation of the housing to restrictions. According to the invention, in order to reduce the cost and to enable a thin-walled housing to be created, a connecting tube is provided in the second flow path, extending between the transversal wall of the housing and the main valve piston, and crossing the rear control chamber.
