The drive chain for a bucket elevator has inner links (4, 5) and L-shaped outer links (9, 10) which are connected by transverse pins (8). The central sections (14) of the pins are wider than their ends (8') which fit into bushes (7). The bushes are longer than the pin ends and the spaces (17) between the two are filled with grease. Sealing rings (21) are fitted around the pin where it enters the bushes.
