PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener for a binder which can be abandoned without being removed from a file and by which cost is dramatically reduced. SOLUTION: A bamboo-made belt material is used as a pressing plate for the binder and a pair of through-holes are penetrated in a channel formed in the top face axial direction and hooking channels with both end hooking parts are formed on the lower parts on both side faces. A slide insert fitted in the pressing plate has hooking projected sides to be hooked in the hooking channels of the pressing plate on the insides of opening parts of a pair of frames with a U-shaped section and a rib for pressing a fastening belt is formed at the central part of the inside top board. The pressing plate may be provided with a hooking projection on the top face channel instead of the both end hooking parts of the hooking channels. The top face edge in the axial direction of the pressing plate is formed into a curved face. Projections are integrally formed on the top face and the side face of the slide insert.
