<p>1346007 Vehicle wheels FIAT SpA 24 April 1972 [30 April 1971] 18915/72 Heading B7C [Also in Division F2] A vehicle wheel adapted to be mounted on a spindle by bearings 2, 3 comprises a biconical cast hub 4 which is formed with a peripheral flange 6 having surfaces 7, 8 which abut complementary surfaces 11, 12 of a brake drum 9, bolts 13 connecting the drum to the flange 6, and on the drum a surface 15 which abuts a complementary surface 17 of a wheel rim 16, blocks 19 clamping the rim to the drum by means of bolts 20 passing through apertures in flange 10 of the drum and having their heads in recesses 21 of the hub. The blocks 19 act on an inward flange 18 of the rim and flange 10 of the drum. The rim and drum can thus be removed from the hub by unscrewing nuts 11, or the rim removed from the drum by unscrewing nuts 22. (For Figures see next page.)</p> |
