The device has a carrier (8), a stationary bearing unit to support it in the foot well of a motor vehicle, a brake pedal (12), a pressure cylinder (13) coupled to the brake pedal, and a hose connection to transmit a pressure generated by the pedal in the cylinder, to a vehicle brake system (5). The hose connection extends over the bearing unit in such a way, that in any position of the carrier, a pressure connection (16) on the carrier is connected to a pressure connection (15) on the bearing unit.
