PURPOSE: An alarm controlling method is provided to separate an alarm process from other task in the system for maintaining a basic real time function of the system while implementing a real time alarm. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of generating an alarm processor, making the alarm processor wait until a main processor transmits an alarm message via an IPC(Inter Process Communication) while the main processor doing original tasks(100), checking a system state and detecting an alarm state of the system(102, 104), enabling the main processor to transmit the alarm message to the alarm processor via the IPC(106), making the main processor process other original tasks(108), enabling the alarm processor to receive the alarm message from the main processor(110), enabling the alarm processor to process the alarm task(112), and enabling the alarm processor to notify an operator of the alarm state and to enter into a wait state for receiving other alarm message from the main processor(114). The IPC plays a role of communicating alarm data between the main processor and the alarm processor.
