PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an accurate cylinder internal pressure by correcting not only an offset amount but also an individual difference between pressure sensor themselves, a temperature drift and the like. SOLUTION: Pressure calculating parts 26, 27 calculate cylinder internal pressures at two positions based on an intake pipe internal pressure detected by a PB sensor 13 and capacities of combustion chambers at the two positions during a compression stroke. A calibration value calculating part 20 calculates a sensitivity correction coefficient and the offset amount of a cylinder internal pressure detecting signal from a pressure sensor based on the measured cylinder internal pressures taken as samples at the two positions and the calculated cylinder internal pressures. A sensor output correction part 19 corrects the cylinder internal pressures detected by the pressure sensor 11 based on the correction value corrected by the correction value calculating part 20.
