<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage pump, in particular of an air-conditioning appliance, capable of suppressing or preventing generation of abnormal vibration and associated noise emission while the pump is in operation. SOLUTION: The drainage pump is equipped with a runner 10 furnished with three revolving vanes 14 having a vertical axis of rotation, and a housing 2 to accommodate the runner, having a funnel shape located over a cylindrical part 4 having a flow inlet at the bottom and furnished with a discharge hole on the major diameter side, and on the major diametric side of the housing, the vanes 14 are located at equal intervals on a perpendicularly cut plane on the vertical axis of a runner boss 17, and a minor diametric vane 13 which is parallel and inserted in the cylindrical part is provided continuously below the revolving vanes in such a way as confronting the flow inlet. The runner is provided with a through hole 20 in the middle position between the peripheral wall and the outer edge of a circular flow port 18 bored on the runner boss side of a partition chamber 22 partitioned by the revolving vanes on a tray-shaped bottom surface 23 formed by an undersurface centrifugal taper part 21 in the form of a truncated inverted cone provided continuously from the axis side base part of the runner boss to the peripheral wall part 15 surrounding the peripheral ends of the revolving vanes.</p> |
