PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug of a hermetic compressor and its installation tool improving the workability and the reliability. SOLUTION: A motor and a compressor part are disposed in a hermetic container, a suction pipe 11 is connected to a suction side of the compressor part by penetrating through the hermetic container, and a delivery pipe is connected to the hermetic container in the delivery side of the compressor part 7. The bottomed cylindrical plugs 16 for the hermetic compressor are installed in respective opening ends of the suction pipe 11 and the delivery pipe, and each of them is formed with a hole 16a having the outside diameter corresponding to the inside diameter of the opening end for inserting the installation tool 17 in the center of one end and with a flange 16b formed in the outer edge of the opening end of the hole 16a. The hole 16a of the plug 16 is formed into longitudinally spiral shape with a rectangular cross section, the installation tool 17 when installing the plugs in the respective opening ends of the suction pipe 11 and the delivery pipe is formed into a square rod with rectangular cross section corresponding to the cross section of the hole 16a.
