PURPOSE: Provided are methods of gathering and processing young leaves of a rice plant and processed foods and products using the processed young leaves, thereby providing health supplementary foods with nutrients contained in the young leaves of a rice plant. CONSTITUTION: The young leaves of a rice plant are gathered by cutting them from the upper section of a rice plant. The cut young leaves are pretreated by washing, steaming, sterilizing, etc., and then dried by using far-infrared rays to their moisture content being a specified level. Therefore, active ingredients contained in the leaves are protected from destruction. The processed foods and products are manufactured by finely cutting or powdering them and followed by formulating into a tablet, a granule, etc. |
