PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light guide plate body produced by stacking a plurality of layers of light guide plates to improve the luminance and the respective light sources so as to solve such a problem that high luminance can not be obtained because the light exiting from the second light guide plate is intercepted by the diffusing pattern of the first light guide plate. SOLUTION: The light guide plate body consists of a first light guide plate 2a disposed nearest to the light exiting face and a second light guide plate 2b stacked in contact with the counter face 6a to the light exiting face 5a of the first light guide plate. By disposing a discreet diffusing pattern 7a in the first light guide plate 2a, most of the light exiting from the second light guide plate 2b transmits through the first light guide plate 2a so that high luminance can be obtained.
