PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an electronic message after transmission in a desired way without being affected by an environment of a receiver side. SOLUTION: When an electronic mail server 2 receives electronic mail 6 addressed to a client terminal 3n from a client terminal 31 and a transmission agent information file 5 to identify a transmission agent 7 denoting a procedure for correcting the electronic mail as desired, the electronic mail server 2 corrects the received electronic mail 6 according to the transmission agent 7 identified by the received transmission agent information file 5, and transmits electronic mail 8 obtained by the correction to the client terminal 3n. Thus, after the electronic mail 6 after transmission is corrected as desired without being affected by the environment of the software and the hardware possessed by the receiver side client terminal 3n, a user of the client terminal 3n receives the corrected electronic mail.
